Martin Potter
Martin Potter claimed his World Title in surfing in 1989. Although he did not spend much time in the UK, he was born in the UK and surfed under the UK region of surfing. He competed in many events in the UK including the 1987 Newquay Surf Masters in which he won.
Russell Winter
Russell Winter is regarded as one of the most competitive British surfers and still stands as the only surfer to compete in the CT in 1999, 2001, and 2002. In Brazil, he took third place and three victories on the WQS tour of which the last tour was in Scotland in 2006. He is known for possessing a powerful and competitive drive in the surf scene.
Carwyn Williams
Carwyn William won the European Professional Surfing Association tour in 1985 and 1986. He also reached a career-high top 30WSL ranking in 1989. Since the early 90s, he has been employed in many different official roles in the surf industry. He runs a surf hostel where many pros have done their apprenticeships.
Reuben Ash
Ash is from Bude on the Cornwall-North Devon Border and is one of Europe’s best free-surfers. He had a progressive aerial act and a smooth style. His junior career garnered 10 British titles and led to sponsorships. In 2011, he was featured on the Innersection Film which showed him as an international-level talent in surfing and put him in the spotlight as one of Britain’s best.
