John Kennedy:

''Dornoch in Sutherland, in a strong West or South Westerly the main beach is about 1.2K long running N to S, launch from the carpark (there is only one at the beach) and it can be sailed in all tide states. W or SW is Offshore to cross off but has come over some very flat land and along the Dornoch Firth, I sailed there for several years as a teenager, the beach has a gradual slope so no problems with sailing super close in to get smooth conditions, I remember the gybe at the end of the run (best being North to South) as being long and high speed.''
