For where the fleetwood speed strips are, together with the launching area see :

When it blows easterly the 'dream reach' truly is a dream, as the right
hand side of the channel is arrow straight straight for almost a mile.
On south westerly through to north westerly the preferred area is
further out on the left hand side of the channel where the angle kinks
round a bit and there is a straight section a similar length to the run
down the wall at WK. Closer in to shore on the left hand side the
channel shore weaves in and out a bit so the water is not as flat as
above.
You launch from the section of beach next to the pier.
A local byelaw prohibits sailing of the channel area at high tide so
the channel is sailable from two hours before to two hours after low
tide - so a good 4 hours sailing.
For where to park see :

If you park on the bays on the promenade you can rig up on the wide
tarmac covered prom in front of your vehicle. If all spaces are taken
(or if the wind is nuclear) you can park at weekend in the courthouse
car park across the road and rig up on the nice grassy area beside the
carpark, but you do need to carry your rig across the road to the beach.''
