WIDEMOUTH & CHALABOROUGH
17th/18th November

Had to spend the weekend in Torquay, but the forecast wasn't too bad; 20mph Southerly on the west coast Saturday, but no swell and some good surf on the south coast for Sunday.

Saturday was actually a cross-on SW force 3 which was very disappointing. Had a wobble out on my 5.7 and a play on my surfboard. Definitely a potential spot for a great session if the wind is right.

The rocky end.

No wind Sunday, but plenty of surf at Bigbury. I went surfing at Challaborough, best surf I've had all year..

Unfortunately for me the rest of the country was somehow getting gale force winds.
Driving home Sunday night in a snow blizzard was bit of a shocker too.

NOVEMBER 8th - 11th..

After a couple of months without scoring any decent conditions for windsurfing, I decided to hit the road for a few days, taking Thursday and Friday off work.

Kirby Monday

Went to West Kirby on Monday, hoping to get some quick times on the gps.
Kirby never lets me down; always get over 40 Knots, just scraped it this time with a 41.3 max.

Borrowed an Isonic 50, which was very easy to sail and get going, but quite difficult to get the last few knots out of. It's a little bit hard to sail flat. Used a super small home made fin aswell (18cm aluminium asy), considering I wasn't that powered up, the fin felt great (and did 41knts)

I had a quick spin on Farrell Oshea's Missile xtrasmall to - it felt really small and fast, but sank without trace when the wind dropped..

Tried my knew freestyle board to, the Freestyle 100 -very different to my old one, and super spinny.

Successful session considering I didn't get on the water until 4pm, missed the best of the wind and sailed 'til dark.

HELL'S MOUTH
19th August 2007

We sailed from 10am 'til 4pm. It started off 3.7 weather and waist high, then there were a couple of magic hours of 4.7m and head to logo high down the line aerialtastic and finally a couple of hours where the waves were smaller but still windy.
These pics don't do the day justice as they were taken in the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes when conditions were at there worst..

The man who said the waves would get smaller and went home, just before they doubled in size!

The wind switched off when the camera came out.
